Quik & KK Full Song G-Shit

Gangsta rap is in full effect right now! Dubcnn just got a hold of a new song by DJ Quik featuring his old comrad KK of 2nd II None. From the looks of it, this will be featured on his upcoming album "The Book of David", due out in October or November, as he says on the track.

The time frame of the album release isn't the only thing he's talking about on here. Quik is going in Compton style as he's back in his its-time-to-clear-some-issues mood and he's speaking his mind on a few personal things over 8 minutes long. From what we've heard so far, "The Book of David" is shaping up to be another piece of magic from the Quikster.

Book of David

Background
During an interview with Chuey Martinez for KIIS-FM in april, DJ Quik had confirmed that he's done recording the album he's just waiting for the samples to clear also in the interview he stated I figure how to come back to music I've done every Breakbeat every Drum pattern that you can possible do and all the while i feel like i got away from the music that made me want to get into the industry from people like Prince, The Time, The Force M.D.s you know some of these 80's hip hop kind of records and even Michael Jackson used the Roland TR-808 drum machine so i kind of got back into raw drum machines going back the the old drums cause they all got character, so this record is kind of an old feel type of record me king of singing like Prince a little like this record i did with Suga Free this is me singing on that record it's just me trying new and fun things that people like me and around me like stating this is the reunion of me and Suga Free after our beef the past few years with many more songs to come also saying he's producing his next upcoming album.
The snippet of the track Nobody with just Suga Free's verse on it was released on March 17, 2010 and Quik premiered the full and final version of it during a radio interview with KIIS-FM in late April and after the song was premiered DJ Quik was asked what was it like working with Suga Free again and replied "What it was like working with Suga Free again from the time we first started really never changed just sometimes people can get involved and make things difficult it always the side people with there opinions and there habits they kind of make recording not so fun sometimes and I'm guilty to cause I had a few people on my side with opinions to but now were in the studio and its just us were both in the studio and we can both work and write its like fluid now It's real simple".[4] On May 25th DJ Quik held a listening event for the whole album at Famous WavaFlow studios the album contains 15 tracks.
Recording
DJ Quik stated this was one of his quickest, fastest and smartest records he's ever done he stated in an interview that he started recording for the album in November 2009 and finished in February 2010 and he said a big reason for it being done so fast was his Co-writers from David Foreman getting the ideas out real quick and Jon B. helping with some of the greatest R&B hits they help me speed the album up faster being since I've been out of retail for 5 years If you don't come back in with something to offer and with something worth the wait then i would humbly get out of the game and get another gig.
DJ Quik also stated he had recorded tracks with artist's such as Bizzy Bone, WC, Bun B, Ice Cube, Jon B., Dwele and Suga Free he also stated the album is finished and ready to be released there's just a few samples that need to be cleared.

I’ve worked and interned at this studio, getting back in a couple times this past month. It’s a really ill spot located in Brasilian icon Carmen Miranda’s old home in Los Feliz. It has one main studio and control room (Red Room), and 3 smaller studios. The owner, Wagner Fulco, and all his crew and folks handling biz there are all cool as hell, as well as professional about getting projects started and finished from scratch to post-production. As they have different studios, with different sizes, they have a lot of flexibility as far as renting studio time. You need some tracks or video done, I suggest you check ‘em out!
