QDT Supergroup





DJ Quik and Teddy Riley both played huge parts in Snoop Dogg's new album "Ego Trippin". Teddy Riley produced a bunch of songs to help Snoop branch out into his R&B/Funk exploration, while DJ Quik mixed the entire album. This will be the first time Snoop has had a consistent presence on the back end of his album since "Doggystyle" in the early 90s. Thus Ego Trippin will have more of a cohesive feel than his previous efforts.
During the album's creation, the three men hit it off so well that they've started a new group titled QDP. This is just one of the many offshoot groups Snoop is now a part of, along with The Dogg Pound, 213, DPG-Unit, and Tha Eastsidaz. Snoop, Quik, and Riley sat down with MTV news and spoke a little about their direction as a veteran group.
In the video below you'll see the guys talking about mentoring younger artists such as The Game. Snoop says he and his legendary group mates "are like Mount Everest, you know the mountains with the faces..
